Footprint

Footprint is a concept I am working on for a carbon footprint calculator that will clearly displays your carbon footprint and what you can do to decrease it. After a short survey about your habits, the calculator will display your total carbon output in pounds, and how that amount is divided among your different activities.

The goal in designing this app was to provide a simple way for people to be able to calculate the impact they have on their environment. The My Footprint screen will display the calculated results in an easy to read manner.

The categories will divide the total footprint into simple categories that organizes what exactly is causing their footprint and allows the user to accordingly adjust their lifestyle.

By including a comparison chart, the user can see the significance of their results and accordingly adjust their energy usage and waste.

I designed these screens using Sketch 3.

UCSD Mobile App Redesign

The UC San Diego mobile app has a lot of useful resources that I found invaluable during my time there, but the design was a bit dated and, at times, hard to use. I found myself using the mobile site much more than the mobile app, so I decided to tackle a redesign on the home screen.

The new design simplifies the home screen significantly and provides the most important options for students and visitors to the campus. The MyTritonLink login is placed in the center of the screen so students who would like to view their campus account on mobile can immediately access it without having to waste any time.

The extra icons that were on the old home screen will be organized within the main categories on the homepage. The other options that are less frequently used will be located within the drop down menu which can be accessed from the top left of the screen.
